OMG...I don't know how I did it, but I managed to add a music player to my xanga page with some of my favorite stuff. I am a GENIUS...well not really, this is a major accomplishment for someone who can barely change the colors on her xanga profile. I am so proud.
You can make one too!!! www.projectplaylist.com Just search for the songs...then add them to your playlist. Then generate a code for your blog (or myspace)...and just copy and paste it into one of the empty module boxes towards the bottom of the "look and feel" section.
April...make one of that singer whose songs you were trying to send me!

Meet Vivi...
So, I have a nickname at work now. Vivi or Vivs. Yep. That's me. It started when this one girl could not remember my name because she thought that I looked like Vivian. So every time she saw me, she couldn't remember my real name because she was always think Vivian. So she told me that story in front of other co-workers....and now, some of them call me Vivi.
I think people think I'm super shy at work. I'm not really, but I don't like to talk while i'm working. I find it distracting to have to engage in conversation while I'm making IV's and stuff like that. I don't have problems listening to conversations, but I can't be the one talking. And since we're making IV's for HOURS, I basically don't talk for hours. Plus, I'm the kind of person that wants to get things done FAST. Because if you don't finish, you have to stay until you finish. There's no leaving it until tomorrow. And the last thing I want to do is stay longer than I have to. So I work like a mad woman....sometimes people ask me if I had crack for breakfast. I'm always amazed to see people who think of work like a social outing. I guess that's a good thing...but I'm like work is work...I just want to go home. Is that bad? hahahaha.
Because of my silent work personality, I think now people are seeing me almost like a shrink. I feel like I know everyone's problems. hahahaha. And everyone always talks trash about other coworkers to me...so I know who doesn't like whom and why.
Oh, and this is totally unrelated....but can someone please explain to me the difference between a suit and a tux (I know some tuxes have those tails...but like a regular tux). -
Inspired by Gasolineeeeeeeeeeee's (I forget how many "e's") blog, I decided to check out the ABT's schedule just for the heck of it. And I saw that they're performing Swan Lake this coming week...Saturday, June 30th being the last day. YAY...another favorite! I love the score of Swan Lake and anything Tchaikovsky.
I have a wedding to go to in Flushing Saturday at 6 PM, which means technically, I COULD catch the 2 PM matinee...and arrive a teensy bit late. hahaha. It's a chinese banquet, they never start on time anyway! I'd be dressed up anyway for the wedding, so I would be wearing appropriate attire (I refuse to go to any performance in Lincoln center in khaki's and a white t-shirt, which I see a LOT...it's not like you're going to a movie).
I'll have to convince my very good friend to come with me...hee hee...

After the party it's the
hotel lobbyer...bowling alley? So my very good friend and I really want to do something after the wedding with only our friends. We are worried that with so many guests, we won't get to spend enough time with our close friends. At first we thought of going to a bar later that night...but logistically that gets complicated. People would have to go home and then come back out since the wedding ends at 6PM.....which means people probably wouldn't come back out. Plus, I'm sure everyone would have gotten their fill of the open bar during the wedding...so more alcohol probably wouldn't be needed (although I can't speak for everyone
).Turns out, there is a Dave & Busters about 5 minutes away from the reception hall...and we thought we should just all go bowling after the wedding...in our dresses and suits and all! We have our photog for about 10 hours...so we're going to try to work out the timing so that she can stay for about an hour after the wedding and come with us to Dave & Busters to get pics of all of us decked out....while wearing bowling shoes. I will be bowling with my wedding dress....while wearing bowling shoes. I don't know how i'll manage that...but I sure will try.
We think we're going to do it so it's every man/woman for themselves...and we'll give a prize to the bowler with the highest score. Trash talking will be HIGHLY encouraged!
I can't wait! We still have to look into reserving lanes and all that stuff....I hope we can pull that off!

This weekend, the family went fluke fishing for fathers day, as per request of dad. We made out pretty well...and came home with three sizeable flukes. I caught one fluke and a sea robbin (which we threw back since we didn't want to eat it), mom also caught a fluke and a sea robbin, dad caught three flukes (two were too small and had to be thrown back).....and Chrissy caught (drumroll........) FIVE rocks. Or maybe six...i lost count. It was quite an impressive sight to see her reeling up rock after rock...even the crew on the boat was impressed. But it was fun and the weather was GORGEOUS...which means i didn't get seasick.
I can't wait for porgie season to start...that's really fun since they swim in huge schools...so once you hit the school, you just start reeling in fish after fish.

So I got these fake peonies for my fake bouquet...to carry with my fake wedding dress for the photo shoot. I'll be coming in from philly for these photos...and I have wedding to attend the day before, so I won't have time to go and make a bouquet of for real flowers.
To me, they look SOOO fake....but I don't know if I'm just being overly critical since I know they're fake....or if they may actually pass (from farther away).
What do you think?

Did anyone see Friday's episode of What Not To Wear? It was a wedding episode....and they had brides to be come in and get advice on wedding dresses, makeup and hair. Three lucky girls had their dress paid for by the show...two of them got $5000 gift cards....and the third girl got a custom made dress.
The girl who ended up winning the custom dress was only SIX weeks away from her wedding. SIX weeks and she still didn't have a dress. I think she said she only just started looking at dresses, but of course for most bridal companies, it's too late to order a dress. So of course she gets picked for the custom dress. And the designer was AMSALE...one of my fave designers! For procrastinating, she gets a custom made dress by Amsale...FOR FREE.
Tell me, how is that fair?
