I think I need a less stressful job. Where can I find myself one of those? It’s sad working at a kids hospital….the kids are SOOOO sick. I’ve been staffing the onco position the past few weeks and when I see how old some of these kids are, it’s shocking. Some were just basically just born and are already diagnosed with cancer. I think now that I have Baby Bear, it hits so much harder.
I have no idea how these kids handle it…being sick…and then being pumped with all these nasty meds. They’re amazing. My hay fever alone is enough to make me want to keel over and crawl into bed (btw, i’m not taking any meds for the allergies now….so I have a constant headache from the congestion.
) I need to go somewhere less sad.oh….i guess I have procrastinated enough…I start start my taxes tonight. UGH UGH UGH.

Which children’s hospital do you work at? Inpatient will be more busy especially for pharmacy. What about working outside the hospital?
ryc:I’m at Einstein, I was at St. Christopher’s for two months and it was quite busy. I can’t imagine how CHOP would be like!
I can’t imagine working in a place where I saw sick kids every day. I think it’s amazing that others can do it but I’m just not that strong. I’m currently in Japan and they gave me an excelent idea. The face masks, while not too common in the states really help figth allergies without taking any meds but you would have to bave many a stare.
Hope you start feeling better.
