• so get this….i don’t know if this has been broadcasted in NY…but it’s all over the boston media.  Johnny Damon will be cutting his har…shaving his beard…and becoming a YANKEE.  no lie.  52 million in 4 years.

  oh…and i decided to take an extended lunch at home because my manager was being a jerk.  He gave a full timer a permanent shift in the OR without asking me what my schedule would be like next semester.  He knows that every semester, i’ll have to switch the day i’m working.  he told the people in the OR, oh well, i’m giving first dibs to the full timer because the students aren’t reliable.  i’m like WTH…the people in the OR were pissed too…they were like you’ve been up here longer and you do a good job.  So luckily there is still one day open that i can work…otherwise i would have to quit…which is basically what i think the manager wants. he just wants all the students to quit (he brought it up at a staff meeting, from what i heard.  He says he just wants full timers).  i’m like, hello? children’s is a teaching hospital?  besides, no offense, but the students are of slightly higher caliber than the full timers he hires.  i have no idea where he finds them….but one girl asked me what 0.25 tab was.  She didn’t know it was the same as 1/4 or a quarter tab.
