i worked an early shift today…i’m home in time for oprah…but it’s a re-run…and not one of the good ones. I am so disappointed.
meanwhile, it is still so hot. i don’t understand people who say…YAY it’s hot…let me go out and enjoy the sun. But, not I…i like to hide in my AC’ed bedroom…watching old episodes of oprah.
totally unrelated…but i go to work with wet hair because i don’t wake up early enough to blow dry. And when we work in the IV room, we have to wear head covers…like surgeons. And the ones for girls are basically shower caps…but a cloth-y material. So needless to say, after 5 hours, my hair feels nasty. But i had to go up on the floors and asses IV levels…and so i just combed my hair with my fingers and went up. So the first nurse i see, she asks me, “hey, did you get a haircut?” i said no…and asked why she asked (cuz i don’t remember ever seeing her before…but apparently she’s seen me). and she says, ” your hair looks really nice…really sassy”. So i was feeling all good..like whew…my hair looks okay.
And i get home and look in the mirror and it does NOT look good. it’s all frizzy at the ends from the cap and it’s like sticking up. HUMPH.
But anyway, yknow what i’ve been watching? the reality show where they’re looking for a new INXS lead singer. yeah…i thought it was stupid when i first heard about it, but the contestants are REALLY good! like 100X better than the american idol kids…they’re like the bad kids version. So now i watch it. I am so ashamed!
