I love this dress…tee hee…i do a lot of dress window shopping, but i never wear dresses. I guess I still haven’t outgrown my tomboyish instincts. I feel like dresses are SOOOOOOO formal. I only wear them for black tie events…for other, less formal events, like holidays at church, I wear skirts. To me, wearing a skirt makes me feel like I’m about to step out on the red carpet (almost). Whenever I see someone wearing a simple sundress in the summers, I think it looks so casual, but when i put it on, I feel like I’m going to a wedding.
I wore a skirt for the first time to a party (New Year’s). Even tho that’s pretty typical, I felt like a two dime HO…with my SORT OF short skirt and knee high boots. And it was COLD with all that air blowing up there.
But i will try to wear dresses/skirts more, because after all, I am a LADY. And i have all these dresses that i NEVER wear (mostly bought by my mom in her futile effort to transform me from urban punk BAD girl<– that’s what she thinks….to a beautiful princess and preferably DOCTOR princess).
But yes…these are my thoughts at 11PM as I prepare for an exam.

i was just about to write something along the lines of this! i haven’t worn a dress since 2001 and now i have to get one for a black tie event. skirts, i wear now and then, but dresses never!
