sigh...i is TIRED...i have three exams next week...and a grant proposol to write by tomorrow...I haven't started doing any of it. i feel so lazy...why can't I just stay home at watch America's Next Top Model and reruns of The Real World?
I totally want to see The Passion. I've heard people complain that it's TOO violent. But what do they expect? the movie IS about the last 12 hours of Jesus' life...and His last 12 hours were probably HORRIBLE...i'm sure the movie doesn't even do justice to His suffering. The whole point is that He went through THAT for us. What do they want? a movie about Pontius Pilate ordering Jesus to get a MASSAGE?!
But I heard that a hospital near school is offering internships at $11 an hour...as opposed to the 9.50 I'm getting at Tufts Med. So....given that I'm not entirely content with the staff at Tufts, I want to quit and go to the other hospital, which, even if their staff isn't great, will have greater benefits in terms of pay and convenience. The thing is...i basically JUST started at Tufts in October, which wasn't too long ago. What's a good length of time to quit? Would staying until this coming fall be an adequate amount of time without seeming like I'm just using them for training and then dumping them? (Training an intern costs the pharmacy $3000...and once that intern gets that training, it's pretty universal amongst all the bigger hospitals up here, so that makes you a very marketable candidate because it means the next place you work for will be very willing to hire you since they don't have to spend money to train you). I realize that my salary sounds ridiculously low and it may sound like i'm debating between one penny or two...but EVERY penny counts, man...cuz I is PO'!!!!!
