  • ok my class then work schedule is NOT good.  For the past two years, i’ve been getting up at 9…i ate REALLY big lunches at 12:30…got home at 7ish…ate REALLY big dinners at 7:30ish…and snacked in between.


    but NOW, i’m getting up at 7:30…i eat a really small breakfast…and I eat a REALLY small lunch on the train ride to work…then since i have to work later to make up the hours, i don’t get home til like 8…and usually i don’t eat dinner til 9.  and by dinner, i mean “dinner”…a shoddy attempt at getting as many food groups on one plate.  Usually that means canned soup and whatever protein source I can scrounge up…peanuts…sometimes just plain old tofu.  AND if i’m feeling especially ambitious, i’ll eat some veggies…but usually, i just eat a veggie equivalent…like a fruit popsicle…with chunks of fruit in it. yummy.  fruit=veggies.


    OK, so many of you are thinking…SO? that’s not so bad.  but you have to understand my superfast metabolism.  I NEED to eat REALLY big meals…and snack every two hours in between.  Otherwise i start to get migraines.  So, I’m a clever girl, i bring snacks to work…i mean a LOT of snacks…like cereal…instant cream of wheat…i have a box of triscuits in my desk.  but it’s not enough, given that i’m eating half the amount i used to.  So my snacks are usually gone by 4…and by 7, i’m still at work and i’m STARVING.  Technically, I could bring MORE snacks…but my bag is already bursting at the seams from all the snacks i cram in there.


    SO…i’ve become the bum of the lab.  i raid the lab fridge for stuff that hopefully i forgot i had in there (once i found yogurt…BONUS!).  not gross, rotting leftovers, but just little things.  Like sometimes, people save their soup from lunch (and their crackers), and later on, they eat the soup, but forget they saved the crackers.  I EAT THEM.  Yesterday was a good day…yesterday i found a packet of Wendy’s garlic croutons.  YUMMY.


    SO that’s my life now…sigh…for some reason, i think the next 4 years of my life will be the same…school…work…no time to eat.  I LOVE eating…gimme food…
