Since everyone else is blogging about the war, I will make the blog palate colorful…i will blog about the NCAA championships.
After last night, these are some places that I plan to boycott: San Diego, Creighton and most of all, MILWAUKE (is that how you spell it?). Why you ask? because they cost me POINTS…and this month, points=mooolah.
First, let me explain our system. for every win, you get the number of points allotted for that round (the number of points double each round). In addition, if you predict an upset, you get the difference in rank added to your score.
Ok, now back to my currently hated cities. I had San Diego over Stanford because i figured, how GOOD could Stanford be? They’re a NERD school. But San Diego actually did pretty well…gave Stanford a good scare…but not well enough. BOOOOO San Diego.
Next, I had Creighton beating Central Michigan. Where the HECK is Creighton anyway? It sounds like a place I would never visit anyhow. But they LOST to C. Mich…Creighton is ranked 6, C. Mich, 11. That’s a big rank difference, boys. Cmon…do your jobs.
And finally…i will NEVER visit Milwauke. I had them upsetting the Fighting Irish because I read they were a pretty good team. And they WERE….until the very last second when they were down by ONE…and one of the Milwauke players was WIDE open, right under the basket and MISSED the layup. Let me repeat, he was WIDE open…NO ONE guarding him…and he MISSED. And so they lost by ONE point. If they won, they woulda given me SEVEN extra points. AND I had Milwauke going TWO rounds…as my cinderella team. i BELIEVED in them. and they LOST. BOOOO!!!
