But anyhow, my very good friend and I are going to get a SLR camera! YAY! (no digicam, jeyi99!). We’re looking at the Canon Rebel 2000 cuz it was recommended to us by lotsa photo people.
And the price isn’t TOO bad. Around $300-350. Unless we invest in some NICE lenses…LEICA?!! hee hee. nah. we PO’ FOLK. We’ll make do with something less til we get REALLY good.
Or mebbe the Nikon N80…but that’s expensive
I’m so excited! I can’t wait to get it! I wanna get macro lenses. That way i can take lotsa up close pictures of my hamsters. They’re SOOOO cute. I used to make a certain relative of mine hold our floor lamp over the hamsters’ cage so that I could get clear shots of them. Hee hee….but it’s still not close enough. I wanna be able to see up their little noses.

You should go to a store and play with it. I was gonna get the Rebel 2000 too but then I held it in my hand and it was too light and too small. So I didn’t like it. It’s a REALLY good beginner’s camera though… just too small and too light for me… the functions and all that stuff were excellent. Maybe your hands are smaller and it’ll fit better for you. I ended up getting the Cannon Elan 7e. That’s a nice one. I got it brand new on Ebay with 2 new lenses and a bag. It was cheaper than online stores.
What sucks with SLR versus digital cameras is the size. Well I have a digicam thats the size of an SLR, so I hardly uses it. So unless you wanna look like a tourist whereever you go, get a small digicam (ie digital elph) instead.
Btw, I brought my camera on my trip but didn’t take much pictures b/c of the size. Good think I have a photographic memory
That’s true… of the few times that I’ve taken it out I felt like such a typical Japanese tourist… cuz when you carry a SLR you have to carry the camera bag and all the lenses and junk that comes along with it… if you want sharp pictures you’ll even need a tripod…
Since when is too small and too light a BAD thing?!
It’s not worth it for us to get a digicam cuz we don’t have such a great printer….and we like to have prints. I don’t mind so much the bulk…I’ll just have my very good friend hold it!!! hee hee!!!
SLR’s quality is way better than digital cameras. and besides inks/good quality paper are expensive
omg… soo much traffic on ur site… i always knew u was popular..but this is insane… guess u can never write nuttin x-rated on this site again
