I have been given an ultimatum by a certain person in my life, who thinks she understands me the most above everyone else (keyword being THINKS). "if you don't get into pharmacy school this year, you're going back to medical school...i don't care...no more research...you're running out of time." RUNNING OUT OF TIME? like i'm going to have a family TOMORROW and i need a stressful career that i won't enjoy just to top things off?
And then she goes, "it's not a rule that you have to hang out every weekend...you should only hang out if you've finished everything you have to finish" Which means studying for my PCATs.
Yeah, so anyway, she thinks i'm "ABNORMAL" because i hang out during the weekends. She thinks it's unnecessary for me to see my friends once or twice a week. Even after i've informed her that i NEED to see my friends because i have to be around my stereotypically ignorant, white coworkers mon-fri. I've been called everything from "foreigner" to "not really american because you hyphenate your racial identity" to "you don't really look chinese because you don't have slanty eyes" to my all time favorite "oriental". And this is while they think they're being PC.
but yeah, i had an aaaaaaaaaaaargh night. that's ok, i'm running away from home in a month. WOOHOO!
